There was another display of birds of prey at Henley. I took loads of shots-I love these birds! I had real difficulty in choosing which one to post-I wanted to post them all!
I chose this one simply because of it's amazing eye colour

fabulous close-up. love the lack of noise at high iso in your 7D

17 Sep 2010 3:11pm

@john4jack: Do remember that I always use Imagenomic reduce noise. So the 7d is good at low noise, but the software helps as well!

PHIL MORRIS from Canada

The detail here is quite stunning, even at that angle it
seems the bird can detect everything before and around
its head. Incredible capture.

Excellent detail - Re Newbury Show - What about 2pm Sunday at the White Helmets stand (172-173) Vodafone Ave. See map on the show web site. Look for a 6'3", 59 year old bloke, wearing specs and carrying a Canon EOS 500 !!!!!!!!

17 Sep 2010 9:14pm

@Nigel: There is a potential fly in the ointment...My son is coming back from Uni this weekend, and my wife wants to do the "Oxo family" Sunday lunch. I'm trying to persuade her to have it in the evening. I will know more as the day unfolds! If you can text me on my mobile - 07770 880 880-I will, at minimum, call you tomorrow morning to give you the latest update. Sorry about this potential problem!
