The little girls look totally engrossed.
Wonder what he has, looks like skate?

10 Sep 2012 8:01am

@Curly: Yep, some sort of flatfish, I'm not sure what kind

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Sure it will be in the news feeds but I am trying to imagine what happened next - I know the life-guard will act without pause to hitch his trunks as the dog makes a play for the fish and the old guy's cigarette spirals into the bucket of oil-spill the girl carries . . but did I miss a WW2 mine bobbing out there ?

10 Sep 2012 8:18am

@Ronnie 2¢: According to Reuters, Bloomberg, CNN and the BBC, it's much worse than even the scenario that you paint. The fish turned out to be a Chinese nuclear powered surveillance mini-submarine which exploded killing the 8000 people who were watching the scene. Apparently the large lady tripped on something, fell on top of the red-haired girl killing her instantly. The bucket carrying girl was actually a Mossad agent who thought that this was a start of an attack by USA Navy Seals, quickly assembled her UZi machine gun, hidden in the bucket, shot the dog, misidentifying it as a disguised Spetsnaz infiltrator, and one of the bullets ricoched off the fisherman's titanium "Cigarette" SAM rocket launcher that exploded the subs nuclear reactor. Just your normal day at West Wittering, I guess.

CATCHLIGHT from Reading, United Kingdom

Dover Sole?....nice shot Mr E....were it mine I would have taken half an inch off the top and the right hand side?...

10 Sep 2012 9:23am

@CATCHLIGHT: Good call on the top. On the right, I should have cloned out the elbow, but left the dog in

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

Could it be Skate
Mate
It ain't no sole
I'm with Curly on this one
Chum

10 Sep 2012 10:08am

@grouser: Birds and bees I can do
But these just make me flounder
not so very long and thin
Flat and somewhat rounder

Creepy crawlies I'll give a go
But these-I'm in the gutter
Boiled or fried, I just don't care
As long as they're served with butter!

Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(Old West Wales Boy), Germany
