Morse Corner

"Morse" was a long running detective series, it nearly always had a scene with Morse and Lewis having a beer in an old fashioned pub.
Whilst Morse was set in Oxford, one scene was shot in this pub in Englefield Green. The film crew had to take out the window to the right of the shot to poke the cameras through to get the angle they wanted.

Looks more like the "naughty corner" for Lewis, I'm glad your "Endeavour" paid off to bring us this intimate pub scene :-)

Realism always comes at a high price in the world of make-believe - I blame it on the accountants.

A fine nostalgic shot. It's interesting to hear of the camera crews creative work in getting their shot.

One of my favorite series. In fact, I have been looking for it to watch again, now that Endeaver and Lewis have finished. John Thaw was excellent. Great shot of this spot!

the 'Endeavour' series was pretty good, also. bit of a Morse fan, myself. perfect for watching for 20 minutes, then snoozing for an hour or so, waking up and irritating people by saying "So, what's happening then..."
